You are free to write your app in the language of your choice.

By default, the core user interface ("UI") components of your app will be dynamically translated based on the user's language preferences.

These preferences are sent by Google and Apple when someone installs your application.

Example core UI text includes:

  • The "see more" button text

  • Search placeholder

  • Quantity selector

  • "Checkout"

Basically, the core UI is everything where you did not enter any text and the text was provided directly by Taply.

Taply translates these to help with the accessibility of your application. Unfortunately, we don't have the option to translate product descriptions, collection titles and variant titles at the moment. Stay tuned though because we are working on adding this functionality.

The languages we currently support for core UI dynamic translation are:

  • French

  • German

  • Spanish

  • English (default if the user doesn't match any of the above languages)

  • More languages are coming soon!

For example, if you are serving the French market and your store's content is in French, your entire app will be in French.
